Upcoming Gordon Setter Litters

Puppies are here!  Livi whelped her pups on February 27, 2009.  She had 4 girls and 1 boy and all are doing very well.  As usual, the pedigrees are full of dual-titled dogs and both parents have sweet and loving temperaments.  Both parents are also owned by us, so we know them well.

This litter is by Rice Creek's Labor of Love, "Dash" and Rice Creek Jesus Lives, "Livi".

Dam:

Livi and Rice Creek's "J" Litter came to be by leasing Linda Sanders' female, Chaparral Zayna SH.  Zayna had impressed me with her way of going in the field, her sweet and loving temperament and also her size (smaller) and her hips (OFA-Good).  Livi was whelped 10/15/04.

I brought Zayna to my favorite Gordon of all time, DC AFC Carolina's All Hat, No Cattle, "Stetson", who has (in January, 2009) just also achieved his Master Hunter title, one of only a handful of Gordon Setters ever to achieve his Dual Championship (conformation and field trial), his Amateur Field Championship (field trial owner-handled) and now his Master Hunter title.  Not to mention that Stetson is our Abbey's (Ch. Chaparral Rad Aclee Clearcut CD SH) grandson.  AND I really, really love his loving temperament and his drive and range in the field.

Livi's brother, Rice Creek's Jesse James, "Rigby", owned by Allen Bailey, placed 4th in the National Amateur Championships this year at the Gordon Setter Club of America's National Field Trial in Washington State. Congratulations, Rigby, Allen and Linda (handler)!

Rice Creek's Labor of Love or "Dash" as we call him is the product of a long line of dual champions, master hunters, conformation champions and just plain wonderful, loveable hunting pets.  As I was saying goodbye to my older boy, Bubba, Dash was growing up here and stole my heart.  He is a very affectionate boy and LOVES to run hard and find birds. I will add more pictures and a pedigree soon - I just wanted to get the word out!
